About this site

This site explains Indian government procedures in plain language, in English and 11 other Indian languages, so that people can understand what to expect before they start.

What we do: write short step-by-step overviews and link to the official website for each procedure.

What we do not do: we do not file applications, take payments, collect personal documents, or act on anyone's behalf. We are not a government body and we are not connected to one.

Each guide shows the date it was last checked and links to its official source. Rules and portals change, so if something looks out of date, please tell us using the link at the bottom of the guide.
